General Motors has returned itself the status #1 in the American market

general motors companyFollowing the results of the last year the number of the realised cars in the USA has grown for 11 percent - to 11 million 590 thousand 274 cars. On it informs edition Automotive News referring to given agencies Autodata.
The first place on number of the sold cars was occupied with concern General Motors with result in 2 million 202 thousand 927 cars. Thus, four brands which have remained as a part of group after re-structuring, in total realised almost on 200 thousand cars more than eight marks which were at the American manufacturer in 2009.
The second line was occupied with concern Ford which has sold in the USA of 1,9 million of cars - for 17 percent more than for a year before. Thus cars "Ford" have occupied in 2010 16,4 percent of the American market while in 2009 their share did not exceed approximately 15 percent, and in 2008 - 14 percent.
Company Toyota became the third following the results of sales with result of 1,76 million sold cars.
Practically all manufacturers presented in the American market have shown positive dynamics of sales. An exception became only Toyota, Suzuki, Volvo, Saab and Smart, demand for which production has decreased for 1,2, 37,9, 12,1, 37,2 and 59,3 percent accordingly.
On brands the marks entering into concern General Motors have shown the best dynamics of sales. So, Buick, Cadillac and GMC realised last year for 51,8, 34,6 and 28,9 percent of cars more than in 2009. Less all demand has grown on cars of marks MINI (0,93 percent), Mercury (0,97 percent) and Lincoln (3,6 percent).
Also it is necessary to notice, that company Audi for all time of the presence in the American market has sold for the first time more than hundred thousand cars, and concern Chrysler has increased the sales by 17 percent - to 1,1 million cars.
